  DUES
It is that time of year again!  Our fiscal (and dues) year run until May 31, 2009.  For those of you who paid for a year membership in 2008, it is now time to renew your membership and pay your dues for 2009/10.  Dues are $10 for one year for an individual and $15 for a two person membership.  (Ten Year memberships are $50 and $75 for a two person and Lifetime is $100 for an individual  and $150 for a lifetime two person membership.)  Please send your membership renewal to the Plainfield Historical Society at PO Box 107, Plainfield, NH  03781

 PHS BUILDING PROJECTS
Our beautiful building is in need of repairs!  This year we replaced our furnace.  This year brings two new challenges – replacing the rotten trellis and roof area over the entrance and the stone foundation on the back right corner.  Estimates to complete the two projects are over $3500.  In addition, land has been annexed to the Plainfield Historical Society to expand the building.  The project will take fundraising and in-kind donations to make it happen.  This expansion will expand our collections and archive area in order to have the main area open for meetings and gatherings.

We Need You!
Read below to see how to:
  • Identify These People!

  • Share Your Memories!

  • Add Your Photographs!

  • Volunteer!

IDENTIFY THESE PEOPLE!
We have pictures of people we can't identify. Can you help us? Look at 'Memories/Help Us Identify'

SHARE YOUR MEMORIES!
From the 'Memories/Tell us your story' menu, the PHS bulletin board is now active. Tell us about your memories of Plainfield and Meriden! Note: Because automated 'spam-bots' started posting spam on this site, we have password protected this area. More information about this will be sent to members.

ADD YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS!
Look at the historic homes page. Many photographs are needed to finish the tour. Digital files are great. Or...if you have an original photo of one of the houses, please lend it to us so we can scan it.

VOLUNTEER!
Like archival work?  Volunteers needed to help with cataloging, labeling and filing.
Want to help oversee our building, repairs and expansion?  Building committee needs members.
Have any creative ideas for programs? We are always looking for program suggestions.
